Week 3

This week is all about honoring the requests of our tonebase friends. You've heard from the community, now is the time to give them what they asked for.

1. Choose a request,

2. learn it and

3. record a SAMPLE of the request

4. Upload it to YouTube

5. Post it in the replies this week. Be sure to tag the original requester on your reply and thank them for their suggestion!

Bonus points to the requester whose choices get honored the most. Okay... so there are no points and this is not really a game, BUT it will be fun to see who's really good a repertoire suggestions!

Remember this is not a FULL recording - just a little taste. No need to learn the WHOLE piece in a day - just enough to give us a sense of what your voice would sound like in the context of that composition.

       either from YouTube or YT Studio, go to your video.

      Click:

      1) the 3 vertical points

      2) the pencil icon

      3) visibility (it's the privacy setting for that specific video)

      4) the middle one of the three

      Save the privacy choice so that the video can be seen ONLY by those who have the link.

      In this way we can see the video even if it doesn't appear in the public list in your YT Channel.

    I have been busy at work, plus my chorus here just performed Beethoven's Ninth. Sorry to be a bit late here.  I did have a request, though- has anyone sung a Sondheim song yet?

    Hi here! I'm sorry I can't post my video this week: I had a bad laryngitis and my voice hasn't come back yet. Luckily there's another week for this challenge and I'll try to sing as soon as my voice comes back: I'll be working on request Dido's lament.

     this is my try on Falla, I've listened to this collection of songs a lot in recitals, never tried to sing it myself but this challenge gave me a little taste and now I really want to study these 7 songs 🤩 Thanks for the suggestion!!
