Welcome to the Idyllwild Choral Retreat!

👋 Welcome to the Idyllwild Choral Retreat Meet & Greet! 🎶
You’ve found the official Meet and Greet Page for the very first Idyllwild Choral Retreat—how exciting that we get to launch this new tradition together!
This space is all about connection. It’s your chance to introduce yourself and start getting to know the amazing group of singers who will be gathering in the mountains for a week of harmony, growth, and inspiration.
🎤 Let us know:
Where you’re coming from 🌎
What part you sing in the choir 🎶
What you’re most looking forward to at the retreat 🌲💫
📸 And don’t be shy—share a photo or a short video if you’d like! Whether it’s your favorite singing moment, your choir in action, your music setup at home, or just your lovely face—we’d love to see it! It’s a fun way to start putting faces (and voices!) to names as we build our retreat community.
This is the beginning of something special. Thanks for being part of it—we can’t wait to meet you, both here and in Idyllwild!

Hi all, Happy Wednesday! I'm very, very much looking forward to this retreat and singing with you all's! I'm Paul Pierre Marchand, I'm a tenor in our parish Latin Mass choir, St. John the Baptist in Costa Mesa. We're especially blessed to have an Amazing choir director, William Fritz... I have been church choirs for several decades now, and just love it, it is my happy place... I'm hoping to improve my listening and vocal skills with the Fabulous Heidi Vass et al, and with you all as well! (P.S. My lovely wife Marisa will be joining me as a singer companion - but not singing...)

I'm coming from San Bernardino, CA - so it's just a trip up the hill for me. I'll be singing Alto 1. I sang a lot in school and church choirs, but I stepped away from it for several years due to a grueling work schedule and family caregiving responsibilities. Now it's just me, and I am pursuing my passions - flute playing and singing. I am most looking forward to improving my sight reading and basic singing ability in order to be a contributing member of a local choral group (once I find one). I am toying with the idea of learning how to conduct a pub choir (like Choir! Choir! Choir!) because I think singing together brings people closer and fosters peace and understanding - something we surely need in the world today.

Hi everyone, my name is Kevin, and I am excited to join you all tomorrow. I am a Baritone, and I just graduated in June with my M.M. in Choral Conducting at UCLA, and also recently accepted the Choir Director position at The Archer School for Girls.
I look forward to making new connections with everyone and even exploring a new part of California (for me).

Splendid time had with youall. [email protected]. And I plan on being at St Pauls Cambridge on 14 Sept to hear the boys and men sing thru a tip off from an attendee which will be the icing on the cake attending a transportation conference in Boston.
