Hi and thank you for opening the floor for suggestions!

I’d love to see a methodical approach to classic vocal training material—specifically a structured course on the Vaccai exercises, as well as a deep dive into the standard classical arias found in the well-known "24 Italian Songs and Arias" and similar anthologies that are widely taught in conservatories. These form the core of classical vocal education, and a step-by-step guide on how to approach them would be incredibly valuable.

It would also be great to explore how a classical singer learns a new piece: what exercises they do, how they analyze the piece musically and vocally, and how they build it into their voice gradually.

Another idea would be a dedicated ā€œPractice Roomā€ section in the menu—a space just for daily vocal routines, warm-ups, technical exercises, and drills. A go-to place for focused and consistent practice.

And while it might be a bit niche, perhaps one day there could be some content exploring vocal placement for Byzantine chant or even training in Gregorian melodies. I realize this might be beyond the typical western classical focus, but it could be a fascinating and enriching addition.

Here are a few additional ideas—even though I know tonebase already covers some of them, it might be great to expand or revisit them in new ways:

"Interpretation Classes" — Beyond technique, a series focused on interpretation: phrasing, diction, emotion, and how different singers approach the same aria differently depending on style, period, and language.

"Mindset for Singers" — A mini-series or challenge on building vocal confidence, overcoming performance anxiety, and developing consistency in practice.

Language-Specific Diction Labs — Especially for Italian, French, and German. These could be combined with IPA training and sung examples.

Repertoire Builder — A course series that helps singers at different levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) gradually build a well-balanced repertoire, with practical tips on choosing and preparing pieces for auditions, competitions, or recitals.

Thanks again for listening—really looking forward to what’s coming next!

Vivaldi , Mozart, Bach, all for soprano and mezzo soprano, but not limited to that. if its not too much. i dont want to seem selfish or greedy . Perhaps whistle tones again sometime. love the idea of more diction. even though i took the diction courses required of me there are a lot of unpolished things.

    Hello!

I would like much more soprano rep... My fav at least a couple of Italian Opera Arias for Soprano, so that I can see if I'm working right on my own.

A dream would be Joyce DiDonato and Cecilia Bartoli mezzos, Lisette Oropesa and Diana Damrau sopranos as well as Luca Salsi baritone here on the platform.

    Thanks, ciao šŸŒžšŸ˜ŽāœŒšŸ»

I want to not shake when I'm performing solos. It's not that I'm nervous. I honestly don't know what it is. But I'm really tired of it messing up my ability to perform the way I want to.

Oh this happens to me too! Especially notice the shakiness in my voice. I think even though we don't consciously experience nervousness, our body starts freaking out as soon as we walk on stage. Totally a normal response, I think we just need to find a way to hack our nervous system to override that programming and let our bodies know that they're safe. I'd also love to learn more on how to navigate this!

Ok, Ladies.. I have some ideas!! I would suspect that  is on the right path in her thinking. It's a"change the subject in your brain" to rewire that response. Are you open to singing in an upcoming tonebase ZOOM recital? I think we may be able to help you workshop this.

I'd love to learn more about tessitura and how to know if something is out of your range vs being simply uncharted territory. I sometimes find myself more easily fatigued from singing certain repertoire that might be above my tessitura. I don't have a lot of experience with singing in my upper register so I'm not sure if I should attribute this to a lack of experience or if I should be lowering the key to feel more comfortable for me. I want to be mindful when selecting repertoire, so any tips on this topic would be great!

sure! I've never joined an office hours before, so that sounds great. Do you know what date and how I can join? Is it interactive or just another livestream that gets broadcast on tonebase?
