i had pneumonia in the fall.... i am scared because i have been having lung pain and a bit hypoxemic.

i was dropping these off for kind constructive comments. i worry i sound horrible but i am still open to critique.

My apologies for the delayed response on this (I was out of office last week). Thank you so much for sharing these. Though you are struggling with some frustrating limitations, my advice would be to take your rehabilitation slowly and focus on rebuilding those technical foundations gently with reliable strategies. First, I would consider spending a week or more simply working through these pieces on an SOVT (lip trill, or straw), so you are re-balancing your breath and the sub/supra glottal pressures. Also, consider practicing phrase by phrase - really concentrating on your mechanics. Be intentional about how you are using your breath and line that up first (of course, your body mechanics NEED to be optimal while you are doing this). Your actual tone is quite lovely. With some intentional foundational support, that beautiful sound can really bloom! Please continue to share your progress!

thank you. and nothing to apologize for. im happy that i had confidence in posting them for practice sake. thats a new confidence in me i never had before.

i turned myself down during the recital today but then listening back i think i notice the actually issues instead of my voice being horrible. its progress. i put the lol when i came on. but then..... yeah.

i keep thinking of buying a straw. lip trills are inconsistent for me.

wow!! That is a huge leap forward. Being able to simply acknowledge that you are making progress and seeing what you might have heard as flaws as opportunity for growth is a GAME CHANGER!! Please keep this up.  What a beautiful journey you are on and I can't wait to see where you go with it :) ... BRAVA and congrats on a lovely performance.
