Week 1

Welcome to the November Perform and Post Challenge!
tonebase voice is more than just a fantastic library of amazing content to help singers grow in their music making, it's also a community and a place to find encouragement, support and an outlet for your musical projects! This month, we are embarking on a special challenge to introduce ourselves, encourage one another and build community!
I always say that you never really know a singer until you hear their voice. This week, we are getting to know each other with a 30-second self tape challenge. There is no genre requirement here, just 30 seconds of your favorite piece. The goal here is to keep it short and sweet! Be sure to tell us your name and where you're from too!
1. Choose a song (you can use an accompaniment from tonebase, YouTube, Spotify, Appcompanist or any source you like)
2. Record yourself singing it. This can be as simple or complicated as you prefer. A phone propped up on a stack of books is great! Want to get fancy and set up a separate audio and video recording feed and tie them together in imovie - great too! Don't let tech be your barrier to entry here. You can also just share a link to something you already have on youTube.
3. Upload your video to youTube
4. Pop the link to your uploaded video in the reply section of this page
I will be sharing some tips on self tapes in the coming weeks, but for now feel free to keep it simple! Here are some tips for uploading to youTube from tonebase's own head of piano, Dominic

Hello from Italy!
I'm new to this technology thing. For this week I took a video already made and tried to cut a part. It's not 30 seconds.

It's recorded with the microphone of the smartphone placed on a pile of books, indeed! I can improve a lot!
Happy vote to all the Americans!
Ciao! 🌞😎✌🏻
