My favorite Bach works of all time are his gorgeous aria solos sung by one artist, in particular, whose name is not in my memory at the moment.

Mozart, Requiem D minor K626!

This is a really tough one for me as I LOVE oratorio! But if I have to pick one, I might have to go with Benjamin Britten's War Requiem. It's such a powerful piece of music with a heartbreaking message. The writing is innovative, but retains an accessible beauty (which doesn't always happen in 20th century music). Singing in this recording had a profound effect on me as a young singer.

This is a really tough question for me too. I would say whatever I'm working on is my favorite. Right now I'm in a choir working on Mozart Requiem. My voice teacher came last night did her solo. It was great to see your teacher perform live, and watching her working with the orchestra and us choir singers is just beyond amazing. As a singer I find we do a lot of solo works alone and it's necessary for honing skills and building repertories. But to work with others in such large ensemble like the Mozart Requiem, lifts the meaning of singing at a complete different level.
